Project Overview
When a client in Paddington, a suburb of Central Brisbane, specifically required a new retaining wall and driveway construction, they turned to us at GLD Constructions for a result that would satisfy.
A sloping yard and aged driveway were currently on the property needing reconstruction. The client knew this project required professional work to be durable, presentable, and look well constructed.
Subsequently, we happily received contact from the client about their project.
Retaining Wall Construction
The first step was to finalize the measurements and design. Then afterwards, with an excavator and a small crew, the old fence was carefully and safely removed. We then further dug the ground out for the new wall and accommodating footings.
We then set the posts in concrete with careful precision regarding height, angle and distance. The concrete sleepers carefully lifted and set in place was the next step.
Lastly, sufficient water drainage works and backfill of earth completed the wall.
Driveway Construction
With a new retaining wall in place, we constructed the driveway with care in angles and heights, visual appeal, and well finished surface.
